Off the Record: Linden Shades

In Linden Shades you play as a journalist who has to reveal his best detective skills and solve the real case. You arrive at the old orphanage where mysterious things happen that evolve children and someone known as “The blood-red ghost”. We rarely give the storyline the highest rate, but the story in this game is truly epic and the most important – unique.

As soon as you start the game you watch the amazing cutscene with real actors. Unfortunately the game itself doesn’t contain live actors, but anyway the visual side of the game is on a very high level. Characters are animated perfectly, locations look awesome, very colorful and bright and will satisfy literally everyone. Detailed graphics are realistic and pure joy to the eyes. Soundtrack in Linden Shades is makes us applause mostly because it was made with the help of Xtruist Audio. Music is not repetitive, it’s intriguing and adds even more suspense to the plot.

We were about to call this free game for pc, ipad and mac flawless, when realized how weak the gameplay was. It’s extremely easy even if you choose the most difficult level. There are a ton of hidden object scenes and interactive locations, puzzles are enjoyable, mini-games are innovative but like we said they were easy. Surprisingly the game lasted long and it took us almost 4 hours with the bonus chapter. By the way if you own a Collectors Edition, you will be pleased with its contents such as strategy guide, collectibles, achievments and more puzzles.
