So, the plot takes you to the world within the mirrors where you travel in order to help Alice rescue her kidnapped father. You take a trip to the Queen’s Castle and end the madness. As you can see this is a fantasy game with perfectly integrated fantasy elements into every scene. The the ‘evil vs. good’ concept is far from new, but anyway the further you go, the cooler this storyline gets and develops in the smart way. Visually this game for computers is quite impressive. Just judging by screenshots we can say the choice of colors is fantastic, especially the purple and blue. The artwork is original, locations are clear and simply beautiful. Melodies fit the game’s atmosphere, and the voiceovers are also professionally done and match the characters.

In terms of gameplay Smoke And Mirrors didn’t bring anything innovative and fresh. Despite the fact that almost all puzzles are creative and entertaining, they are very easy and can be solved very fast. Same with hidden object games – they are very original and fun to play through, but easy. Due to the low level of challenge the game’s length is very short. It could be the best game from Mad Head and especially in the NeverTales series if only it was more challenging.
