Imperial Island 2: The Search for New Land

The most disappointing thing about this free match-3 game for android is its presentation. Can’t say the developers from QuickClick did a bad job though. The visual effects are not as mesmerizing as they were in the first game though graphics are beautiful, detailed, all elements are cute, clear and bright, but sometimes the graphics lack the dimensions and even look kinda flat. Soundtrack is pleasant, melodies are not annoying, but in general there’s nothing extraordinary about it.

On the other hand the gameplay is decent and worthy and quite satisfying. Two elements that set Imperial Island apart from tons of hundreds basic match-3 games for ios are the Building feature and the various gameplay. And those two elements are exactly what’s missing in the sequel. There is nothing to build, there are no free mini-games and all the tasks are similar to each other. Basically the whole game consists of match-3 levels that are easy, tedious and quick to solve.
