Grim Tales: The Legacy Collector's Edition

Unfortunately, the beginning of Grim Tales 2: The Legacy is pretty trite – the same dark mist, the same car crash, the same middle-ages castle packed with mysteries. Although the plot unwinds rather logically, it becomes very annoying in 30 minutes. Of course, not all illustrious Hidden Object titles can boast of a unique storyline, still they are interesting to play. As for today’s story, it’s rather boring and has no special thrill.

However, the gameplay is smooth and offers three standard modes of difficulty (casual, advanced, hardcore). Each level of gameplay has its own features but still rather standard. There is a map which is quite helpful and clear. Hidden object scenes are clear, most items too easy to find. Mini-games are also not very clever but sometimes even plain. As you can see the challenging part of Grim Tales 2: The Legacy is the weakest one after the plot.

Hard though the developers might work they didn’t manage to convey a truly spooky atmosphere.  Neither very horrifying sounds nor ugly wolf impress you very much. The artwork is fuzzy a bit and looks unpolished. 

Having chosen a well-beaten path, Elephant Games doomed its new game product to oblivion because this traditional Hidden Object adventure puzzle has more trifle things than original ones. If you aren’t bored by the same stories yet, Grim Tales 2: The Legacy will be waiting for you with its open arms.
