Fistful of Frags
Fistful of Frags is made by an indie developer solely as a Source engine-powered mod. The idea was to bring multiplayer FPS in a Western setting and have fun with it. The game has singleplayer mode as well. There you can complete missions and challenges to master the game mechanics for later use in PvP events. The multiplayer mode allows you to add decent bots for practicing offline too. Customization goes as far as deciding over primary and secondary weapons and selecting between available abilities for your character. The guns are presented in their historically authentic look. You can get Colt Peacemaker, Smith Carbine, and Sharps rifle to name a few. Some of these are available in a paid crates only. Recent changes made it impossible to loot someone else's weapon after taking them down. The fallen player won't find it after respawn either. The only way is to purchase it every time. This system is implemented in teamplay mode (objective-based rounds), shootout (a classic deathmatch), and other multiplayer modes such as Grand Elimination (Battle Royale), Break Bad (features custom rules), as well as Team Elimination and Versus which are self-explanatory judging from their titles. Since Fistful of Frags is free to play, nothing prevents you from going and trying it out to judge for yourself.
