DayZ
Spawning from a groundbreaking Arma 2 mod of the same name, DayZ offers a truly unique experience to all fans of the open-world survival genre. Upon launching the game, a player starts from an off-shore desolated place with only one goal to achieve: survive by any means possible. There is a vast sandbox world to discover and various items to collect including ammo, weapons, medications, and, of course, food to keep you healthy and ready for action at any moment. And action will not leave you dangling. Apart from wild creatures that lurk in the forest trailing prey, there are at least two groups of enemies much easier to encounter: other players with shady intentions and infected NPCs turned into zombies. The former are also scavenging for stuff and might be your allies in building shelter and completing quests as well as traitors who are waiting for a perfect moment to end your virtual life and loot your belongings. The latter are among the most dangerous threat in the game. Fueled by starvation and rage they will attack and never back down. As you progress in DayZ through the ghost town of Chernarus state, you will learn how to cook fresh meat and be picky in terms of your food choices, and being friendly to whosoever you meet along the way.
