9 Clues 2: The Ward

The storyline is very intriguing and suspenseful even though it looks simple. Plus it contains many disturbing elements and even some cruel images. Unexpected and shocking twists only spice up the plot so the game is never boring. There are a lot of different characters, though they are not animated very well, but greatly voiced. Overall the graphics in this free pc game are exceptional and way better than in the first installment. No, there’s nothing outstanding but we definitely appreciate the improvement. Images are clear and sharp, the artwork is very much impressive. Music is just fantastic, soundtrack is memorable and all sound effects perfectly fit the game’s atmosphere.

Gameplay is okay, we get to deal with one of our favorite Detective modes where you spot the unusual clues or spots in each scene. Other gameplay’s aspects are up to standard, exciting hidden object scenes will satisfy everyone plus they are all challenging and innovative. The Ward is literally full of random features like a handful diary, 3 sets of collectibles and achievements. Compared to the first part this one is also longer, it took us about four hours to finish.

9 Clues: The Ward is a well-done game for computers and mobile devices and it wasn’t even released as the Collector’s Edition. It’s also one of those game that can be called sinister, which we actually like.
